D.R.Nolans & Co. is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor and an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your duties will be wide and varied, assisting the senior members of staff in their duties. Ideally you would have some experience of Quantity Surveying or recently graduated from university. You will be given a supervisedtraining plan where you will be able to develop and track progression.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The key responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor and Assistant Surveyor include, but are not limited to:
**Quantity Surveyor**
- Involved in pre and post contract duties including working client side on a wide variety of projects including refurbishment and extension of various types of buildings, new build residential and bespoke cultural buildings, etc
- Repair and refurbishment of historic buildings and high-end residential projects
- Experience of working with clients, architects and project managers
- Undertaking feasibility studies
- Preparing cost plans for projects
- Attending meetings
- Preparing tender documentation and managing on site contract administration and cost management are requirements of this role.
- There will be a blend of virtual meetings, site visits and time in our offices in Maidstone and London.

**Assistant Quantity Surveyor**
- Assisting the senior members of staff in their duties.
- Allocated tasks and elements of work that you will be expected to complete under the supervision and guidance of senior staff.
- You will work on both pre contract and post contract duties, working remotely or form sites, or our offices in Maidstone and London.

**The Person**

The key skills and qualities of these appointments are:

- MRICS desirable but not essential - We are particularly interested in you as a person, your ability to undertake work in a demanding but rewarding environment. (Quantity Surveyor)
- Experience with NRM2 form of measurement; conversant with JCT forms of contract. (Quantity Surveyor)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven negotiating skills and a strong knowledge of quantity surveying methods and techniques. (Quantity Surveyor and Assistant Surveyor)
- Analytical skills, with an eye for detail and aptitude for maths; Good computer skills including MS suite, RIPAC (training will be provided) also required. (Quantity Surveyor and Assistant Surveyor)
