Our client is a successful growing Electro-Mechanical repair business and seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Fitter with rotating equipment repair experience. The role will mainly involve repairing and refurbishing electrical motors, pumps, fans and gearboxes, both in the repairs workshop and on site

Duties will involve:
- In-depth knowledge and experience of repairing electrical/mechanical rotating equipment.
- A key part of the role is to provide rostered out-of-hours cover which attracts generous remuneration.
- Experience in dismantling a wide range of motors (including AC & DC), brake motors, gearboxes, pumps, fan units, and experience with static and dynamic testing.
- Testing and repair of transformers.
- Identifying and repairing any faults found.
- Re-assembly and testing of equipment following repair
- Working with motor voltages up to 415 Volts and test voltages up to 2Kv
- Dealing with technical issues which may arise
- Attending site to test and analyse motors and generators in use using standard industry equipment and determining faults and repair action required
- Experience working with alternators and fault finding preferable not essential
- The ability to detail and wind armatures, stators and rotors would be ideal but not essential
- Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Fitter experience with rotating equipment
- Rewinding electric motors experience would be ideal but not essential
- City & guilds or times serviced experience
- Must be able to be on-call (one in four with extra pay for this)
- Driving licence

- Starting rate £16.00 - £17.50 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
