**The Role**

The newly appointed Finance Business Partner will play a leading role in finance and the wider business.

You will partner with the operations of the business and will have responsibility for driving ‘operational excellence’ (one of the businesses key USPs).

The operations of the business is split into four key areas. Each area is spear headed by a Head of Department with the Operations Director overseeing the entre function. It will be your responsibility to build relationships with each department head and the Operations Director to advise, guide and challenge. You will be tasked with successfully identifying key trends and investment opportunities, continuously driving improvements, and ultimately shaping the future of the business through astute financial analysis.

Financial Planning
- Creation and ownership for the annual Operations budget with responsibility for ensuring alignment with business objectives, stakeholder support and sufficient rigor and control
- Lead the periodic re-forecast process, driving the future strategic direction of the business in the form of the annual five-year business plan.
- Lead and influence the Operations Leadership Team and Board

Management Reporting
- Manage and oversight of 1 direct report (Management Accountant)
- Full oversight of the Operations month end process including variance analysis and reporting of financial performance to key stakeholders
- Lead and influence the Operations Leadership Team and Board

Business Partnering/Decision Support
- Providing insightful analysis, interpretation and explanation of trends in both cost and the underlying drivers
- Identify and deliver opportunities to grow Operations revenue streams and develop the business’ understanding of “best cost”
- Ensuring capex spend is appropriately appraised and the impact on Operations fully understood to help drive operational readiness

**The Person**

You must be a qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience (3 years +) in an analytical, business facing role.

You must have significant experience of working in a cost focused financial analysis and/or finance business partnering role.

Lastly, you must have a flare for building relationships and influencing stakeholders at Board level.
