**Quantity Surveyor / Estimator** **£>45,000 + car / car allowance + bonus Southampton** Howells Solutions are working with a leading UK Social Housing Contractor who have over 15 offices in the UK to find a successful and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Southampton. You will be responsible for delivering a variety of paintingand decorating contracts on both internals and externals for local authorities, housing associations and education settings. You will take responsibility, ownership and accountability of the successful management and control all aspects of the commercial / financial and contractual elements of internal and external planned maintenance schemes in in order to control and maximisethe company's profitability, protect the company's legal and contractual obligations under the contract and to manage the control of all day to day commercial issues. **Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities**: - Managing subcontractor packages - Subcontractor negotiation - Cost value reconciliation - Producing cost reports - Valuations - Variations - Final accounts **Quantity Surveyor - Experience**: - Degree or other technical qualification - Strong commercial awareness - Quantity Surveying experience within property services - SOR experience - Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office - Must be flexible in hours of work and travel and hold a Full UK Driving Licence **Quantity Surveyor - Salary & Benefits** You will be working for a modern, forward thinking business; that believe the strengths, skills and personalities of their people are the key to the group's success.
