**Trainee SEN Teachers - Cranleigh - Surrey**
- £18,626 per annum plus regular salary progression on completion of training
- £1,000 joining bonus
- Mon to Fri 9am to 4.30pm (5.30pm on Tuesdays for training)
- 9 weeks paid school holidays
Opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join a dynamic teaching team at a day school for autistic children graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

**As a member of the Teaching Team you will**:
- Provide teaching and support to pupils with autism, following individualised curriculums
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons and activities, focusing largely on life skills
- Provide behaviourally based support to reduce behaviours that impact quality of life
- Provide personal care when necessary, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable levels of hygiene (toileting, feeding)
- Monitor pupil progress, ensuring teaching is appropriate and effective for pupil needs
- Assist with break time duties including playground support and snack time

**What do you need?**
- Professional, personal or voluntary experience of working with children and disabilities
- Minimum Grade C/4 GCSE in English Language & Maths or equivalent
- Comfortable working with children who exhibit challenging behaviour
- Comfortable supporting others with personal/intimate care where required
- Ability to keep calm in high pressure situations
- Drivers licence or access to a lift (due to location)
