Senior Analytical Scientist

**Main tasks and responsibilities**
- Lead technical and API project through development to registration of API molecule.
- Lead a small team in the creation and method development of robust analytical methods - LC methods (e.g. HPLC, GC, SFC and UPLC)
- API Characterisation and interpretation of complex molecules using chromatography and Mass Spectrometry
- Technical and analytical skill in the use of HPLC, GC, UPLC in trouble shooting, developing methods and ICH validation
- Work closely with internal functions - R&D/Process Development Scientists
- Strong communication skills allowing active contribution to project teams and analytical development
- Keep accurate and rigorous records
- Supporting the filing of regulatory Drug Master Files, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) section
- Quality risk assessments / Quality by Design approach to development
- Empower software, ChemStation data system
- Ideally BSc or PhD in Analytical chemistry or equivalent
- Essential, previous industrial experience of method development on various LC methods
- Previous experience of analysis of API and Related substance within fine chemical/ pharmaceutical
- Technically management and delivery of API pharmaceutical products
