**Package**: Salary circa £50,000 - £55,000 (negotiable dependent upon experience) plus bonus, company vehicle, generous pension, life assurance etc.

We are recruiting an experienced **Area Sales / Business Development Manager** from within the passive fire protection sector.

Working for a company involved in the design, supply and installation of all types of Passive Fire Protection systems. Whether it is a new build, refurbishment or upgrading project, they provide full compliance within the built environment.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

- The Business Development Manager will be responsible for assisting the business in winning bids
- They will be charged with the responsibility of reviewing data and documents like analysis reports, Bill of quantities, schedules, drawings and any other relevant tender documents
- The Business Development Manager will prepare and update projects for tender
- Ensure that the documents are filled in the correct tender / quote files
- Gathers the relevant information to be used to produce the project estimate
- They will liaise with the Sales Team to source leads and will undertake surveys when appropriate
- Coordinate the completion of pre-qualification questionnaires for larger projects
- Spend time and work closely with clients to gain trust
- Will have the ability to work their own diary and be self-motivated
- Able to work under pressure on large projects with limited time to produce the tenders required

- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and oral communication
- Good time management and scheduling skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Knowledge about building and construction
- Knowledge of the passive fire protection industry
