**Job overview**:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our busy Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy service based at Fairfield General Hospital in Bury.

We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills. The post is full time, and you should be able to work well within a team but also independently when required.

Previous experience of working in an assistant role in either Health or Social Care is desirable.

**Main duties of the job**:
Under the direction of a qualified registered physiotherapist undertake specific treatment plans

Demonstrate and work through exercises with patients

Support physiotherapists in the running of patient rehabilitation and exercise classes and maintain documentation required for these.

Monitor stock and undertake duties to support the functioning of the department and service.

Undertake associated administrative duties e.g., filing patient records, booking appointments.

The department is working towards a 7 day model of service delivery and you will be expected to be flexible in terms of working patterns including weekends, bank holidays and extra hours if necessary

- Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant or previous experience working in social care, nursing or customer care setting
- Experience of working within a team and independently with support.
