Our client, a long-established and highly regarded private legal practice based in Liverpool, are currently recruiting for a credit hire specialist Litigation Solicitor / Fee Earner.

This is an office-based role.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a good track record of handling a caseload of fast / multi-track litigated credit hire cases. You must have experience dealing with credit hire claims, including the common arguments on mitigation, duration, rate etc.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Managing a caseload of credit hire / motor recovery claims, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcome for the client and the firm.
- There will be a mixture of cases, predominantly Fast Track/Multi-Track matters.
- Progressing cases to trial if necessary, including advising on liability and quantum, preparing for CMC’s, CCMC’s, other interlocutory hearings and trials.
- Accurately quantifying special damages, including loss of earnings.
- Assessing basic hire rate evidence
- Help identify continuous improvement to the operational function with regards to process, commercial and tactical practice
- Understand and meet stated operational measures for the role.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information.

**Required skills / experience**:

- Previous credit hire litigation experience is essential
- Previous fraud/counter fraud handling experience preferred
- Target driven, whilst maintaining exceptional client care
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Excellent knowledge of the CPR and Credit Hire case law.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively, as part of a team and using own initiative.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
