LOCATION: THE HEART SHOPPING CENTER, WALTON-ON-THAMES

HOURS: 32 hours per week

PAY RATE: £9.50 PER HOUR

SHIFT PATTERN: various

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Regular control of mall and external areas (plaza) including the walkways New Zealand Avenue, Nettlefold Walk,
Studio Plaza, Pedestrian Walkway from the MSCP and Service Areas as per the guidelines below.
- 08:30 to 10:30
- Sweep all areas of the mall, & Shop edges that are unable to be reached by the machine ensure spotless presentation standards, ensuring floors are kept clear of spillages, litter and other deposits.
- Door handles and frames on the entrance doors internally and externally with a damp cloth and polished dry, removing any finger marks and debris.
- Polish all metal furnishings on the doors to the service corridors.
- Dust all mall pillars, signs and plug sockets.
- Spot clean all terrazzo skirting along the wall and wipe off any marks on the pillars between retail units.
- 10:30 to 11:00
- Ensure the public toilets are clean.
- Ensure all consumables are replenished and that sufficient toilet rolls and soap are available.
- Litter pick/spot clean and dust control external areas including the walkways New Zealand Avenue,

Nettlefold Walk, Studio Plaza, Pedestrian Walkway from the MSCP and front of North Service Yard Areas.
- 11:00 to 12:00
- Sweep all areas of the mall, & Shop edges always ensure spotless presentation standards, ensuring floors are kept clear of spillages, litter and other deposits.
- Ensure the public toilets are clean.
- Ensure all consumables are replenished and that sufficient toilet rolls and soap are available.
- Litter pick/spot clean and dust control external areas including the walkways New Zealand Avenue,

Nettlefold Walk, Studio Plaza, Pedestrian Walkway from the MSCP and front of North Service Yard Areas.
- 12:00 to 13:00

- 17:30/18:30 PUBLIC TOILET Ladies, Gents, Disabled and Baby Change.
- Tiles floors mopped with cleaning solution and mop dried.
- Remove hard deposits from the floor
- Spots clean all paint work
- Wipe down all wash basins, sinks and tiled units with a damp cloth removing any stains.
- Wipe down exterior surfaces of chrome taps and fittings and buff to a shine.
- Clean urinals: Wipe down all glazed surfaces and remove surface stains.
- Special attention is to be made to channels and outlets ensure debris is removed from drain grilles.
- Wash down cisterns, flush pipes and fittings with germicidal solution.
- Clean W.C.'s: Wash down inside of pan, the trap and flushing rims with a brush.
- Wash down outside the pans, both sides of seat and hinges with a germicidal solution.
- Attention to the cistern, handles and flush pipes.
- Wipe and clean exterior of sanitary towel disposal units using a germicidal solution.
