**Contract: Cheshire East Highways**

**The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative support to facilitate the delivery of works programmes delivered by the operational maintenance team.**

**To work as part of a team and to support other officers and contribute to the successful delivery of individual projects throughout the Borough. The individual will assist the team, who are responsible for ensuring that projects are designed, developed, and delivered safely to budget and to programme.**

**The Role**

- **To undertake highway specific training courses as appropriate to ensure compliance**:

- **The ability to work as part of the highway maintenance operational team.**:

- **To assist the team in compiling health and safety documentation for schemes.**:

- **To assist the team with general enquiries from our stakeholders.**:

- **Other ad-hoc duties to fulfil the requirements of the role.

**About You**

- **Excellent verbal and good written communication skills are essential**:

- **Good IT skills are essential, particularly MS Office and GIS systems desirable**:

- **Experience of dealing with service users, by telephone and in writing**:

- **Understands and behaves safely and encourages others to behave safely.**:

- **Demonstrate a positive approach at all times.**:

- **Ability to work as part of a team.**:

- **Be alert to changing situations, show flexibility in approach, adaptability in difficult circum-stances and continuously strive to achieve best results.**:
