Sen Tutor

**Job Title: SEN Tutor (ASD/ADHD Specialisation)**
**Location**: Medway & Kent County

**Role Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver 1:1 tuition to children with ASD, ADHD, or both, following the UK National Curriculum.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs and learning styles of SEN students.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the child’s education.
- Provide daily reports after each session, detailing the student’s progress, engagement, and any areas for further development.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment to foster each child’s confidence and abilities.
- Travel to students’ homes or agreed locations across Medway and Kent County.

**Requirements**:

- **Enthusiasm and Passion**: A genuine love for teaching and working with children with SEN.
- **Educational Qualification**: Bachelor’s degree in any field of study.
- **Experience**: Prior experience teaching or supporting children with ASD and/or ADHD is desirable but not essential.
- **UK National Curriculum Knowledge**: Ability to teach according to the UK National Curriculum, with an understanding of SEN best practices.
- **Valid DBS Check**: An enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is required for this role.
- **Reporting Skills**: Ability to provide clear and structured reports after each day’s tuition.
- **Availability**: Must be available to start as soon as possible.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to travel within Medway and Kent County for tuition sessions.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD or ADHD.
- Ability to teach both English and Maths at Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and professionals.
- Patience, empathy, and creativity in lesson delivery.
