As a Product Operations Associate at Calnex, you will work closely with the Product team, assisting with data gathering, processing and analysis about target market segments, current business and product performance and, over time, any other insights which can assist with decision making. You will also work with the wider company multi-disciplinary teams to enact process improvements. This is a one-year fixed term role, with potential for a permanent position dependent on business needs. **Key behaviours**: - You are a finisher: the business environment is busy and constantly changing - you take satisfaction from seeing things through and have the grit and focus to get there. - Team player: recognising we each rely on the skills of the whole team, it is essential to build rapport and develop support frameworks while keeping a focus on results. - Learning mindset: we are looking for a foundational understanding of business concepts, but “learn-it-all” beats “know-it-all” every time. - Strategic thinking: efficiently gather information on needs in the department, to build credible strategies to increase the value and/or coverage of your work. **Key Responsibilities**: - Work independently and with the wider Product Team (and with Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams for multi-disciplinary projects) to capture inputs, understand and prioritise your work to support projects with data, tools and effort as appropriate. - Coordinate and update reports for departmental and management level meetings (financial reports, geographical market dynamics, etc.). - Gather and analyse sales and marketing data to produce win/loss and lead generation statistics and actionable insights, e.g., market sizing, competitive analysis. - Assist with cost/benefit analysis for internal projects/initiatives. - Identify the current and future operational needs of the department through research and regular interaction, and clearly articulate those problems and possible solutions. - Assist in updating and maintaining internal and customer-facing documentation. - Coordinate price lists internally and with 3rd parties such as distributors and sales representatives. **Skills, Experience and Qualifications** Ideally >70% of items should be covered, with demonstrated ability to develop in the other areas. - College or University qualification in Business Studies, Business Management, Business Analytics or related fields. - Understanding of a broad range of business concepts and approaches across different departments. - Ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise way. **Data skills** - Work with and analyse large quantities of data using standard techniques. - Use problem solving skills to find new ways to break down data. - Be able to think on your feet and experiment with different approaches. - Understand what data is showing and able to link it into key business concepts to aid with operational decisions (End of life, new opportunity analysis, etc.) **Personal skills** - Make a positive impact across Calnex and foster relationships across departments. - Be adaptable to the ways various individuals work. - Approachable and proactive with your time looking for ways to help and support the team. **Knowledge of one or more of the following (through study, work experience or other demonstrable method) would also be beneficial**: - Business/Financial Analysis - Data gathering and processing - Financial reporting, i.e. understanding of basics of profit & loss reporting. - Data Visualization - Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, etc - Digital Marketing tools and techniques - SQL We want to help strong contributors achieve their potential.
