Senior Finance Officer

I am working with an organisation based in Bradford who are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The role is full time, office based and paying £25,000 per annum.
The role & duties:
- To work within the core values, aims and objectives of the organisation and adhere to agreed policies and procedures, with particular focus to financial policy and procedures.
- To maintain the computerised financial systems for the organisation including the on-going maintenance and updating of systems.
- HB reconciliation and maintaining up to date rent sheets
- Managing and reconciling petty cash weekly.
- To prepare financial breakdowns and draft budgets as and when required
- To prepare end of year income and expenditure reports for any funders that where we have been allocated grants.
- To ensure that our suppliers and contractors invoices are processed by the relevant manager and prepared for banking.
- To ensure that all invoice payments from suppliers and Housing Partners, including staff mileage forms are processed, both in line with the delegated authority schedule, and signed off by the Head of Service ready to be paid via BACS on a monthly basis as part of banking with the CEO.
- To provide the Chief Executive with monthly rental income reports and bad debts reports
- Preparing quarterly Management Reports and attending Finance Sub-Committee Meetings to present information and answer any financial queries.
- To recommend to the Chief Executive appropriate systems and practices for financial control that promotes good practice.
- To ensure that monthly visa transaction spending with receipts are requested from each manager and then reconciled against the business visa statement. To send a visa verification form to the CEO for authorisation.
- To ensure that there is a clear audit trail for any financial transactions carried out on behalf of the charity.
- To be responsible for managing and reconciling petty cash. To input petty cash expenditure on to Quickbooks and journal amounts to schemes on a monthly basis.
- To monitor and minimise bad debts/loss of rental income through accommodation void levels by working closely with each accommodation scheme Manager and/or their teams.
- To oversee that the Admin/Finance Officer is ordering and maintaining office supplies and ensure a stock control system is in operation.
- Making sure that we are ordering from suppliers where we are getting value for money.
