Software Testing Apprenticeship

Our apprenticeship programme is supported by the Aerospace, Defence and Security business, which develops and delivers digital solutions for UK public and private sector clients. Software Testing helps our customer to understand if their products meet specified requirements and to identify defects (bugs) to ensure the final product is defect-free and a quality product. If you enjoy giving an independent and objective view of problems, can offer suggestions on how to tackle problems, and help others understand the risk of using or selling their products to improve their business, we need you If you decide a career in Software Testing is for you, we will support your decision by offering you an 18-month structured learning programme and real-world experience, leading to a L4 apprenticeship.

**What you'll be doing**:
You will assist one of our National Security accounts in support of securing our client’s digital estate in Gloucestershire. We will provide you with the skills you need to build a foundation of knowledge, on which you can build and grow. Just a few things you could be helping us with include:

- Analyse test objectives to design and prepare a test plan that aligns with a test strategy.
- Design and build test cases, test scripts/procedures, and define expected results to meet the test scope coverage criteria.
- Conduct a variety of different software test types (i.e., functional, non-functional, white box/structural and change-related), implementing and interpreting test scripts using agreed methods and standards.
- Conduct and support testing at different test levels (e.g., unit testing, component integration testing, system testing, system integration testing and user acceptance testing).
- Raise defects in line with organisational policy at any point in the test process and progress them through to successful completion.

Our account is a collaborative, friendly, and an encouraging environment, with colleagues who possess a diverse range of academic and vocational expertise can provide you with real world advice. In addition, there is an opportunity for continued learning by accessing our learning hub, local networking events and attending security related courses. On completion of your apprenticeship, you will also have access to our IGNITE talent development and mentoring programme. In short, you will have everything you need to succeed.
Your support network
Life is about making connections and your peers from the programme are there to lean on and learn from as you start your journey together. You will have regular coaching sessions with your skills coach to make sure you have everything you need to be successful in your apprenticeship.

**Salary**: £22,000 - £24,000
