Campervan Fitter

Smart van conversions are a small family business in Derby. Converting vans to campervans.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team.

Previous experience within a similar environment would be ideal. The role involves working to deadlines.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Ply and carpet lining, sound deadening, insulation
- Floor fitting
- General Carpentry (Panel Scribing, Cabinetry, and Fitting)
- Fitting Pop-top Roofs
- Electrical installations and wiring including 12v, 240v, solar panel systems, LED lighting etc
- Window Fitting
- Heater installations
- Fitting Swivel Seats
- And more
- **Key skills and experience**:

- Ideally have mechanical and practical hands-on experience with the campervan, motorhome, caravan or manufacturing industry
- Workshops skills including a general knowledge in joinery or building/construction
- Ideally have knowledge and good practice - leisure gas systems and installations
- Ideally have knowledge and good practice - 12v leisure electrical systems and installations (auto electrical)
- Ideally have knowledge and good practice - leisure water systems and installations
- Ideally have working knowledge of hand tools, power tools and precision woodworking equipment
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Must be well organised, hardworking with a positive attitude but willing to learn new skills
- Must be able to use their initiative working unsupervised as well as part of a team
- Must have good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Be punctual with excellent time management skills to complete tasks within a given time frame and to a high standard

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
