Stellex Manufacturing Ltd based in Hadston-Northumberland offer an extensive range of products for use in the catering industry, from the simplest of tables for food preparation through to bespoke and high spec servery counters. Throughout the Company’s trading history, we have earned a reputation with the catering fabrication and distributor markets for providing high quality solutions and services to all its end users. We are now looking to recruit for an experienced **Assembler / Fitter / Site Installer **to join our team.

**Role Overview**:
Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this role is responsible for the assembling of stainless steel catering equipment and sheet metal components. Other duties involved in the role are as follows:
**Main duties will include**:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Use a variety of hand and pneumatic tolls to carry out a number of tasks as instructed / required.
- Carry out necessary checks and quality assurance of products as per customer specifications.
- Endeavour to maximise the best use of resources.
- Assist with putting forward any suggestions for continual improvement.
- Maintaining safe working practices within the work place.
- When not required to work on the shop floor you will be expected to work off site. Overnight stays and weekend work may be required.
- Any other duties commensurate within this position and skill set required.

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Electrical and /or refrigeration experience is preferred but not essential.
- Experience of working off site and / or within a manufacturing engineering environment (ideally within sheet metal) and similar role is a distinct advantage.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours (early starts, late finishes). Including assisting with any role within any location within reason.
- Possess a full driving licence, not exceeding 6 penalty points.
- Possess a good understanding of engineering drawings.
- Be able to agree and meet reasonable time scales for the work required.
- Have the ability to work within a team or on your own initiative, able to solve problems.
- Pay attention to detail and quality.
- Possess the ability to multi task.
