Joinery Foreman

**The Individual**

**The Role**
As a working Joinery Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our joinery shop, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Championing a “can do” and “get it done” attitude.
- Ensuring strict adherence to Off the Grain’s health and safety procedures.
- Supervising bench joiners and other workshop staff
- Monitoring project progress to ensure timely completion.
- Documenting and addressing any disciplinary issues.
- Providing guidance on interpreting drawings and resolving technical challenges.
- Mentoring apprentices and junior staff members.
- Collaborating with management and other staff to schedule and coordinate work activities.
- Conducting quality assurance checks on materials and workmanship.
- Ensuring the completeness of joinery items before handing them over for finishing.
- Maintaining high standards in personal workmanship.
- Identifying and promptly reporting any delays or issues to management.
- Proactively seeking and offering solutions to problems.
- Conducting toolbox talks and maintaining attendance records.
- Reporting any equipment or machinery malfunctions to management.
- Liaising with operations manager to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Joinery: 5 years (required)
