Associate Revenue Controller

Our client is a global big data business who due to a recent merger are looking to hire an Associate Revenue Controller. This role will support the end-to-end revenue processes for the UK market, including contract validation and sales order management, overseeing revenue recognition and CRM system financial support.
Responsibilities will be broad and include:
- Partner with the commercial team supporting sales proposal and contract entry via the CRM tool.
- Ensure timely & accurate contract validation and creation of Sales Orders on the UK finance system (Oracle Netsuite):
- Partner with the Revenue Administrator to ensure correct set-up of revenue phasing in the finance system (e.g. ensure revenue correctly recognized based on revenue recognition principles)
- Lead issue resolution with the commercial team e.g. contract issues, rebate issues
- Support the monthly revenue closing activities, including revenue and cost accruals and adjustments. Ensure these are accurate and are performed in accordance with US GAAP standards
- Assist Revenue Controller in maintaining strict controls on revenue and data cost processes and ensuring adequate controllership is maintained, acting on any flagged control misses
- Work on process documentation and help develop robust processes to reduce any potential control risks
- Revenue support for internal & external audits and statutory filings
- Provide information as requested for audits and statutory filings (account balance breakdowns, sample evidence, etc.) to agreed timescales
- Support local and global projects to deliver system and process improvements
- New global CRM system implementation (MS Dynamics) - mid-late ‘23 & New global Finance ERP implementation (Oracle Netsuite) - late ’23 / early ‘24
- Correct tracking, booking and month-end analysis of all variable data costs (e.g. royalties, commissions to data providers)
A salary of £35,000-£45,000 is on offer DOE plus bonus and benefits.
