**About us**

We are professional, traditionally skill-based company covering all aspects of horticulture, focused on long term garden development. Grown from the belief that a chemical free approach to garden care has the upmost benefit to the natural environment. The client base typically include, large country gardens, including historic garden settings.

Our goal is to provide a professional service to a select number of clients, to a high standard. Our company is looking to expand and employ a gardener to help care for the portfolio of gardens that we have worked hard to establish. We're looking for someone with strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and a passion for horticulture.

**Job description**

We are looking for a Gardener to maintain private clients gardens to a very high standard. You will need to have self initiative, be motivated and work well under the direction of the business owner and clients. Gardener responsibilities include maintaining the long term health and viability of all plantings, managing all plant pests and diseases in a timely manner, control of weeds, correct pruning of shrubs, dead heading of flowering plants. You should know how to use and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers and hand tools while following health and safety regulations.

- Install and maintain gardens
- Mulch, edge and weed gardens
- Prune and trim trees and bushes
- Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery, like mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers
- Monitor and maintain the health of plants
- Deal with pest problems that could damage plants

**Requirements and skills**
- Experience as a Gardener
- Familiarity with landscaping design
- Extensive knowledge of regional plant life
- Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations for horticulture
- The ability to lift heavy objects
- The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time
- A love of the outdoors and plant life
