**Senior Technical Assistant | Bracknell | Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm | Up to £32,000 (negotiable)**

Our client has been a leading supplier of specialist test and measurement instruments. It has built its reputation by providing the most reliable and advanced test equipment from leading manufacturers supporting it with a high level of customer service,two UK laboratories (Bracknell, Berkshire/Preston, Lancashire) and technical support to meet its client’s requirements and expectations.

You will support the testing, calibration and repair of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or electrohydraulic instruments and apparatus in use within the Instrument Solutions laboratory.

Assisting the Quality Manager in ensuring continued conformity with quality procedures. The review and processing of customer calibration contracts from receipt through to delivery.

**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Quality systems experience to ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards
- Ability to work to tight schedules unsupervised
- PC literate with a working knowledge of proprietary Microsoft software packages - specifically Excel and Word
- Methodical with practical ability and approach to construction activities
- Self-confidence
- Confident telephone manner
- Good presentation and customer skills
- Good organisational skills
- Enthusiasm and willingness to play an active part in a small team in both an office and laboratory environment

**Your role will include, but not be limited to**
- Operate in compliance with corporate policies
- Helping in the continued conformity with the requirements contained in ISO 9001 (BSI) and ISO17025 (UKAS) through procedures defined within the Quality Manual
- Following a period of training to become an approved (UKAS) signatory for the issue of calibration/test certificates and other quality documents
- Undertake promotional activities both on and off-site whenever the need arises
- The review & processing of customer calibration contracts from receipt through to delivery using bespoke software systems, along with the processing of all subsequent documentation including credits and any complaints on goods or services provided by thebusiness
- Perform and/or organise preventative and corrective maintenance/calibrations of test apparatus and peripheral equipment
- The development of, implementation of and ensuring the continued compliance of test/calibration methodologies using a variety of instrumentation/procedures including the use/creation of spreadsheets
- Confer with engineers, managers and colleagues in order to assist with equipment installation, maintenance and repair techniques
- Any other duties commensurate with the role
