**Who are we and what do we do?**

CANTO Learning Ltd began its journey in 1992 when local authority funding was secured to work with adults, at the then factory, to support them with their personal lives and the various challenges they faced.

CANTO Ltd was formed primarily under adult social care funding which still plays a very large part of the college offering ½ day workshops such as horticulture, cooking, craft, hospitality, well-being and much more. All of these workshops are aimed at building and developing students personal and social skills, independence and communication skills.

CANTO Ltd then began delivering education programmes, aimed at supporting students who are leaving school, to continue their education. The pathways which all have a different focus. Pathway 1’s is communication, Pathway 2’s is independence, Pathway 3’s is volunteering, Pathway 4’s is employability or further education and our Supported Internship Pathway is paid employment.

In 2016 CANTO Ltd became CANTO Learning Ltd, a registered charity.

**Job Description for a Work Experience Coach**
- To deliver work based sessions such as running the Avon business.
- To support students appropriately within the workplace in line with systematic instruction training.
- To complete accurate records as required in order to feed back to the Programme Leads.
- To prepare students for undertaking a supported internship in a local company.
- To assist students in independent travel training, money management, interview training etc
- To provide feedback for student reviews to aid the setting of milestones and targets.
- To attend and input into team meetings.
- To undertake staff training as and when required.
- To undertake other duties as requested by the Leadership team to further enhance the learning experience for those attending the project.
- Able to adopt the CANTO ethos and be committed to work with people with learning difficulties and assist them in reaching their potential.
- Able to proactively promote the ethos through maintaining a positive learning environment.
- A team player
- Flexible in their approach to fit in with constantly changing timetables.
- Able to generate mutual respect between both learners and staff.
- Be competent at Maths and English
- Have a full driving licence.
- Have experience of working with people with learning difficulties.
- Have experience of working in a training environment and in particular in the specified area of delivery.

**Salary**: £23,212.54 - £26,666.90

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and Friday 8am to 3.30pm

**Benefits include four weeks annual leave per year in addition to 5 days at Christmas and New Year and bank holidays. Staff are also enrolled in a workplace pension as well as an Employer Assistance Programme. This year staff are also benefitting from a paid day off to undertake a well-being day whilst being given a small allowance towards it. Staff well-being is extremely important to us and we offer regular activities to support staff.**
