DHU Health Care CIC is a non-profit making provider of urgent care and out of hour’s services, since 1989 the organisation has grown and developed within the East Midlands, including Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Northampton, our staff are working in various Hospitals, Urgent Care Centres and GP surgeries. DHU also provides the NHS 111 service for the East Midlands and Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire _. _Employing around 2000 staff overall, including health care professionals, sessional and salaried GP’s, Community Nurses, Drivers, Corporate Head Office support teams, Governance teams & NHS111 service personnel. Operating 365 days a year we are striving to _provide caring, high quality, safe and effective healthcare to our patients and the communities we serve in line with our DHU mission statement.DHU Urgent Care Northamptonshire is seeking a Clinical Services Lead to maintain the delivery of Urgent Primary Care services across the county and further improve patient outcomes.
JOB ROLE
The post holder will work alongside the Head of Clinical Services and Deputy Clinical Director for Urgent Care Northamptonshire to support the delivery of Primary Care services across the county. The post holder will provide operational and professional clinical leadership to an integrated team ensuring that processes are in place to support the achievement of organisational goals, a culture of patient safety and high standards of care delivery.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Over 3 years’ experience as a Senior Clinical Manager managing large groups of clinical staff
- Over 3 years’ experience as Senior Nurse/Paramedic/Clinician within an autonomous practice role
- Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification
- Excellent communication skills
- Staff rostering experience within a healthcare environment
- Financial intelligence and budget forecasting
- Evidence of Clinical Leadership
- Ability to assess and manage risk
- People management skills
- Resource management
- Previous experience of service delivery/management of healthcare services
- Ability to extract and interpret data and produce reports as required
- A good working knowledge of IT & software systems including SystmOne and an awareness of NHS Pathways
- Awareness of DHU company policies and procedures
- An excellent understanding of National Quality Standards and local commissioner’s requirements
- The ability to analyse and respond to complex clinical situations utilising specialist knowledge to assess a range of options to formulate solutions and recommendations
- Evidence of collaborative and partnership working
- Awareness of external multidisciplinary agencies
