**About The Role**

As a Manufacturing Key Operative - Quality Controller you’ll make routine checks on products and packaging to make sure that they’re correct from a food safety and legality perspective. You’ll use relevant systems to record information and demonstrate traceabilityand due diligence on behalf of the site and company, and will escalate any non-conformances to prevent product withdrawals or recalls.

Your quality checks may involve temperature probing, swabbing, weight and size checks, and you’ll be working towards minimising and preventing any loss of sales or profit whilst ensuring customer requirements are continually met.

**About You**

Previous manufacturing and food handling experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given. You’ll be the kind of person who:

- Loves working as part of a team
- Enjoys working in a fast paced environment
- Is happy in an active role and has a good level of fitness
- Is able to work in varying temperatures of around 8 degrees and below (we provide full protective clothing)
- Takes pride in completing tasks to the best of your ability

The following experience is desirable, but not essential:

- Quality Control and understanding of product allergens
- Food Safety Level 2 and/or HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) Level 2

**About the site**

Our purpose-built dual facility in Gadbrook manufactures fruit and vegetables all under the same roof.
Here at our fruit and vegetable pack house, we prepare 120 million packs of fruit, 75,000 tonnes of root vegetables and 12,000 tonnes of carrots every year. From mangos, kiwis and giant pineapples to broccoli, courgettes and cherry tomatoes, our 600 colleagueswork a two-shift operation, getting everything ready for 76 of our stores.
