Housekeeper/porter (Casual)

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper/Porter to join our hotel staff on a causal contract. As a Housekeeper/Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role requires an eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of a Housekeeper:

- Clean and sanitize hotel rooms, including changing linens and towels, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking toiletries
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, such as lobby, hallways, and elevators
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and healthy environment for guests and staff
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Respond to guest requests for additional amenities or services in a timely and courteous manner
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and restocking rooms

Responsibilities of a Porter:

- Assist guests with luggage and other requests upon arrival and departure
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of hotel lobby and common areas
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide information about hotel amenities and services
- Deliver items to guest rooms, such as extra towels or pillows
- Help maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for guest services
- Provide assistance to other hotel staff as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in housekeeping/Porter or a similar role preferred
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as luggage or supplies

**Salary**: £10.42-£11.50 per hour
