The suitable Planner will:

- Take responsibility for activities involved in the project planning life cycle, including the below:

- Ensure programme content is compliant with planning procedures
- Identify planning scope, major constraints and contractual requirements
- Identify major quantities and factors affecting the programme
- Establish and agree construction outputs with Operations, and agree working hours with appropriate Estimator
- Establish and agree with Operations and Bid Team, the key methods of construction, sequencing, installation and commissioning
- Produce and document the planning deliverables including programmes, planning philosophy, presentations and reports
- Produce the Tender Programme and support information in accordance with the Tender requirements
- Develop overall programmes, issuing to all parties for review and implementing recommendations, innovation and best practice
- Interface with third parties to identify and resolve issues
- Provide support to the BIM Coordinators to meet project requirements/tender submission deliverables
- Operational experience (site engineer/agent) with experience of planning in the construction and engineering industry
- Proficiency in planning techniques and required planning toolsets (e.g. Project, Primavera 6)
- An understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications
- An understanding of risk and opportunity management with reference to planning programming
- An understanding of events which initiate, demonstrate, delay or change entitlements.
- Familiarisation with various planning methods, programming and progress monitoring
- A focus on excellence, searching for ways to add value to organisational performance
- Customer and stakeholder focus, meeting and exceeding expectations
- Relevant CSCS card
- A relevant OND/HND qualification (advantageous; not essential)
