Information Security Officer

We are currently recruiting for an Information Security Officer, specialising in DevSecOps on a 6 month contract

Salary £37,235, full time working in a hybrid capacity at one of our three sites in Swindon,

**The Role**

**You will**:

- Act as a point of contact for your specialism to provide complex advice and guidance through to resolution, with support from the SME
- Prioritise and manage own workload effectively
- Develop professional relationships with stakeholders and colleagues to share and utilise information, advise and influence managers across the business
- Work collaboratively on cross-team/pillar tasks and projects to achieve business objective
- Proactively look for way to improve processes and contribute effectively to the business
- Responsible for improving own knowledge of specialism
- Support the overall risk management and governance of your team(s) and the wider business

**What you’ll be doing?**
- Be able to review modern methods of coding to identify issues, especially related to security.
- Understanding of API and their structure to ensure good practice and security.
- Advise on the Maintenance of ISMS security controls across the organization in relation to Development and coding.
- Design and facilitate tactical level the integration security into the development cycles

**Who we’re looking for?**
- Skills/Experience_
- Essential:_
- Practitioner under a scheme like Infosec Training Paths & Competencies (ITPC) scheme
- Strong stakeholder management, with experience of developing complex communications to non-technical audiences
- Ability to understand web technologies and OWASP identified risks and how to prevent them
- Desirable:_
- Relevant professional qualification e.g., CISSP, CISM
- Relevant professional membership e.g., British Computer Society, Institute of Information Security Professionals
