**About the NPD Food Technologist job**

This is an exciting opportunity for a food graduate with some NPD experience to join an energetic, innovative, and friendly food product development team which has some exciting projects underway.

This role will give you the opportunity to work closely with major food retailers and provides fantastic exposure to learning the entire food NPD process from concept to launch.

The business is highly focused on its staff and can provide you with the tools and opportunity to develop and progress within the business.

Your day-to-day tasks:

- Idea generation, recipe design and arranging new materials
- Interfacing with production teams
- Attend customer presentations, project meetings, and factory trials.
- Shelf-life assessments
- Liaising with customers
- Writing basic mini specifications
- Application work (cooking)
- Factory quality taste panels
- Travelling to UK Retail headquarters

**Skills & experience required for the NPD Food Technologist job**
- Food Science, Food Technology, or related degree or equivalent qualification.
- ?Experience of working in Food New Product Development - such as a university placement.
- Confidence to assist with or lead customer presentations
- ??Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large range of customers.
- ?Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and quick to learn.
- ?A high passion for food and flavours with an open approach to innovation, processes, and concepts.
- ??PC Literate with knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint etc.

The NPD Food Technologist job is based in Kent and is paying £28,000 - £29,000 according to your experience.

The package includes 33 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), Christmas shutdown, and contribution to your pension at a rate of 5.5%.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm with the flexibility to work at home on a regular basis.
