Senior Technical Property Claims Handler

**Description**: We're recruiting for a Senior Technical Property Claims Case Manager to join our Property Claims team. Within this bespoke team in Claims you'll effectively handle your own portfolio of large (£100k - £300k) and complex loss claims by assessing policy liability, legal liability and quantum, resulting in speedy resolution of all property claims. You'll have either Commercial Property or Public Liability property Damage experience, experience in both is not essential. in. At AXA we're adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and our Bolton office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. **What you'll be doing**: - Manage own portfolio of Large Losses and significantly technical complex claims in order to contribute to performance targets for business unit. - Carry out investigation of claims where appropriate to obtain quantum and liability information in order to make appropriate policy and legal liability decisions. - Recommend the most appropriate use of the claims management process in order to settle claims minimising potential for increased costs. - Identify potential development & training needs for less experienced staff through validation surgeries, LLU referral meetings, discussions and review of files in order to contribute to individual training plans. - Coaching and delivery of formal training or desk side support to case managers in order to build their knowledge and capability. - Liaise with Large Loss Unit on high value claims >£300k. - Attend site visits with loss adjusters as required. - Assist in quality and leakage audit programmes for the department in order to contribute to the delivery of continuous improvement in cost control and service delivery. - Develop and maintain good customer relationships delivering excellent customer care through demonstration of effective communication skills. - Appoint, liaise and develop good relationships with suppliers to ensure speedy resolution of claims at minimum cost. **Qualifications**: - Due to the nature of the role you will have a sound technical background in Property claims, specifically Commercial Property OR Public Liability property Damage. - In depth knowledge of technical claims process, policy and philosophy - In depth knowledge of legal process, complex liability and damage awards. - Highly developed quantum assessment and negotiation skills - Proven ability to manage own portfolio of complex claims - Excellent communication skills with both internal and external contacts - Sound knowledge of underwriting practice and philosophy, policy wordings and relationship issues **What we offer**: One of the best things about joining AXA is our rewards package.
