In the role of Designated safeguarding Lead (Operations) you’ll predominantly be based at our sites across Huddersfield and Kirklees and your focus will be on assuring excellence in the provision of safeguarding across Kirklees College and leading the core safeguarding team.

Your key responsibilities will be managing safeguarding referrals, providing advice to staff in line with Child Protection procedures and ensuring safeguarding policies, procedures and training are all fit for purpose.

Ideally, you’ll be educated to degree level (or equivalent), with a clear and current record of safeguarding training. You’ll already have significant experience working in a designated safeguarding role, including delivering safeguarding training to others and liaising with local safeguarding services. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.

**Actual salary range**:Starting salary is at Management Pay Scale Point 9 - £42,202
