**Function Overview**:
**Key Activities include**:

- Participating in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance programs, policies and practices for ICRM, in particular:

- Supporting and leading aspects of the global privacy program by developing and driving implementation of best practices, procedures, tools, checklists, monitoring, while creating metrics and reporting results
- Providing recommendations for operationalizing solutions across the Privacy program including metrics and reporting
- Implementing operationalized solutions which will replace manual processes with automation.
- Promoting privacy by design working with Product and Function and technology teams, and reviewing and advising on data protection impact assessments, where necessary; developing an understanding of data processing activities, data flows and associated privacy risk
- Analyzing complex comparative data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to compliance risk assessments, and monitoring of compliance related issues.
- Reviewing materials to ensure compliance with various regulatory and legal requirements and to ensure compliance risks are appropriately identified and addressed.
- Investigating and responding to compliance risk issues, including monitoring privacy issues and corrective action plans.
- Investigating regulatory inquiries, preparing required documentation, making recommendations to senior management on how to proceed, and preparing responses for the regulatory inquiries.
- Championing a culture of high standards, pro-actively pushing for progress, and be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment ensuring escalation where necessary.
- Overseeing the monitoring of adherence to Citi’s Compliance Risk Policies and relevant procedures and preparation, editing, and maintenance of Compliance program related materials, including:

- the oversight and compliance of privacy requirements within the product and functions
- the oversight and reporting of privacy related breaches
- producing reports, presentation material, and communications for senior stakeholders and committees.
- Interacting and working with other areas within Citi, as necessary, providing advisory support on privacy laws to products and global functions.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes in order to further identify new key risk areas.
- Additional duties as assigned.

**Knowledge and skills**:

- Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to both work collaboratively and independently; ability to navigate a complex organization
- Advanced analytical skills
- Ability to both work independently and collaborate with team members
- Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time- Demonstrated knowledge in area of focus (Privacy and Data Protection)

**Education**:
**Required**:Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; experience in area of focus, general knowledge of the EU General Data Protection Regulation; and/or other privacy regulations, experience of compliance monitoring activities.

**Preferred**: Advanced degree (e.g. JD, MBA) a plus; IAPP/CIPP or other data protection certification is an advantage.
