Responsible for sales growth and the management of the UK & Europe sales and admin teams and the achievement of maximum profitability and growth within company vision and values. This exciting and challenging Head of Sales Role is an integral part of the management team. In this role one will develop and implement company sales strategies with and through the sales team. This position is a player/coach role. Reporting to SVP of Sales & Marketing this role is a key leadership position with responsibility for sales growth in EMEA territory.
**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Lead EMEA sales efforts of UK-based Business Development Team (BDM).
- Evaluate EMEA countries and develop best sales channel strategy with SVP of Sales.
- Monitor and report on the KPIs set by the Group VP of Sales to drive business.
- Provide feedback to the sales team on their performance against KPIs and development progress.
- Coach and motivate sales team to focus on positive habits that ensure sales success.
- Keep sales team motivated and accountable to maintain acceptable level of outbound sales activity.
- Inform the Group VP of Sales and President by reviewing and analysing reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
- Maintain and grow sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Work cooperatively with Sales Support, Product Designers, President and Managing Director.
- Use the company CRM to log all activity, contacts and potential new business opportunities. Manage BDM assignments of contacts
- Identify new product and market opportunities by speaking with clients and analysing competitors.
- Interface with product line management, engineers, and management team to expand product offerings.
- Maintain an online LinkedIn profile structured to generate interest in Slingco products and services.
- Attend industry trade shows as assigned.
- Follow company Expense and Travel guidelines.
**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:
- Experience and background in the Utility products market a plus.
- Extensive experience in sales management and business development mainly dealing with distributors / wholesalers with proven sales results.
- Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets.
- An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
- Good IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets, ability to create PPT for sales meeting.
- A professional manner and presentable appearance for meeting customers/clients.
- Demonstrate showing initiative and good decision-making skills.
- The ability to establish goals and motivate yourself and others.
- Great organisational and networking skills.
- Able to transition between tasks effectively.
- Able to solve problems.
- National Coverage, some international travel maybe required.
- The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports.
- Show initiative and the confidence.

- Full driving licence.
