We are looking for a Central Planner, to join our Plant Projects Organisation (PPO) team based in Hersham. A key part in the success of our UK Industrial Gases organisation (UKIG) The PPO Organisation are responsible for the execution of capital projects associated with existing operating assets in Europe and Africa. The projects range from plant debottlenecking, equipment replacement, plant modification, life extension up to new plant builds.
Reporting directly to the PMO Manager, you will be the primary user of Orchestra, the resource management software and ultimately responsible for ensuring timely, effective and efficient allocation of resources to our exciting projects. A key part of the PPO team, you will be working with and alongside a close knit-team, and communicating daily with the PMO Manager, Project and Discipline Managers and Engineers.
**As the Planner you will**:
- Ensure all TSRs are approved & have a ‘TSR to Project Conversion Lead’ assigned.
- Driving allocations of Engineers to projects, ensuring projects are fully resourced
- Ensuring the correct tasks, dates, hours and resources are requested for all projects, in a timely manner.
- Set up all multi-discipline projects:
- Gantt chart set up
- Resource requests
- Resource allocations
- Highlight resource overloads to begin the resolution process
- Feed back project allocations to the Project Manager
- Carry out date & resource allocation changes on instruction of the Project Managers
- Close projects once complete
- Generate weekly reports from Orchestra/QlikSense to keep an eye on key metrics and identify resource gaps.
- Highlight and resolve any gaps in resourcing requests/allocations in a timely manner
- Embody the 4S culture of Safety, Speed, Simplicity and Self-Confidence within and outside Air Products
**You will have**:
- A positive and energetic attitude towards work
- An Excellent attention to detail
- Good solid I.T Skills and experience using project software
- Experience in a Project office, project related role
