Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, award-winning company as a Quantity Surveyor. The main purpose of this role is to manage all business costs related to building and civil engineering projects, minimising costs whilst drivingexcellent results.
**Responsibilities**:
- Procuring and managing the supply chain
- Managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects
- Measure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures
- Preparation of Cost reconciliation statement; Collation of Cost and Value Information
- Measure and interpret specifications & drawings
- Build up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimates.
- Review weekly, monthly, section programmes of works
- Plan commercial activities to meet requirements of section programmes
- Supporting other members of the commercial team in delivering the varied commercial duties
- Actively seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality for clients
**Requirements and Skills**:
- HND/BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent
- Previous experience in the building and civil engineering industry
- Analytical Thinking and Decision-Making skills
