Content Copywriter

As a Content Copywriter you’ll bring to life our brands on our websites in a way that meets our customer needs and business goals. You’ll be part of our Content Team in Digital Channels where you'll work mostly up to you with occasional team days in our Leeds office - or base yourself there every day if you prefer.

**About the role**

No surprises, it’s writing, all kinds of writing on our websites and mobile app, but it’s more than that. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to sit quietly and just churn out words. You’ll be the team’s first fully dedicated copywriter, helping to set the standard for how we communicate in writing at YBS.

You’ll need to be an amazing collaborator and an outstanding negotiator and influencer. Why? Everyone thinks they can write, everyone thinks they understand customers. You’ll need to show them why UX matters and what best practise looks like, providing solid evidence for your writing decisions.

You won’t be alone in this mission. Your immediate and extended team will include experts in writing, Brand, UX design and SEO. We’re passionate about continually improving how we work for example, we’re currently embedding Agile practises into the team.

Digital Channels is a growing function at YBS, which brings opportunity and challenge in equal measure. We’re in financial services, so as well as an awareness of digital best practise, you’ll need to be able to understand regulation, risk and good governance to thrive.

**About you**

You'll have excellent, user experience focused, digital copy writing and editing skills, combined with an understanding of how to optimise copy for search engines.

You will also have experience writing for a variety of audiences and purposes (e.g. B2B and B2C).
