**Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting an SEMH primary school in Ashton-in-Makerfield in their search for a passionate and engaging Education Support Assistant.**

Using an array of educational, therapeutic and play practices, the school supports learners with a multitude of social, emotional and mental health needs.

Due to the high needs of the learners, the successful applicant must be resilient in nature with a warm, empathetic outlook to be able to build trusting, respectful relationships.

This ‘Outstanding’ school continually strives to provide the best for their children, whose needs are varied and complex. It prides itself on being a friendly school that knows the importance of making the school environment and the school curriculum offer just right for the children that need it the most as they work towards being a non-exclusion school.

**Applicants must**:

- Have SEND experience, specifically supporting learners with social, emotional and mental health needs including challenging behaviour
- Be patient, calm and kind order to form positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Be flexible, adaptable to change and able to work on own initiative
- Have a clear and current DBS on the Update Service

**Salary**: £70.00-£80.00 per day

- Special education: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
