**Working Pattern: 37 hrs per week - Monday to Friday**
**Location: Trent Bridge House/Bilsthorpe**

**The Job**
We are looking for a Compliance Inspector to join our Street Works & Road Works Team.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- To inspect all highways activity ensuring it is compliant with all applicable conditions to support performance reporting
- To inspect activity ensuring it complies with relevant legislation and disruption is kept to a minimum
- To liaise with and provide advice, guidance and direction to establish appropriate working methods
- To keep records of inspections and meetings to support monitoring on sanctions
- To liaise with the Road Works Coordinator to priorities works for planning and inspection
- To take control of Ad Hoc issues that arise on the highway
- To investigate complaints and enquires about temporary activities on the highway and respond to customers
**The Person**
Mainly you will have a interest in highways, but there are just a few other things we’d like from you:
- HNC in Civil Engineering or experience in highways or similar field.
- Experience of the street works and road works environment
- Good ICT Skills
- Familiar with current legislation, policies, procedures and working methods applicable to street works and road works
- Current Full Driving Licence
