We are currently recruiting a Legal Cashier to be based in Manchester. The Legal Cashiering team at DWF works across multiple sites including Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds to provide cashiering support to the whole firm. In Manchester the team focuses on client money.

As a Legal Cashier at DWF, you will provide cashiering support and analysis for the Firm with a particular focus on telegraphic transfers to begin with but in the longer term this role will support across all Manchester Cashiering duties including bill payments, BACS, faster payments, CHAPs and cheques

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing client accounts and responsible for allocation of clients’ cash in accordance with Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR).
- Preparing and authorising online electronic bank transfers, i.e. CHAPS, BACS and Faster Payment.
- Assist with cheques to be produced for local and regional offices
- Monitor and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions
- Support with the management of the cashiering queries inbox ensuring timely and accurate responses are delivered to stakeholders
- Attend team meetings at regular intervals and assist in implementing improvements, ideas and modifications in identified problem areas to enhance relationships and strengthen team performance.
- Build effective relationships both internally within the Finance team and externally with the team's wider stakeholders

- Proven experience in effective delegation as well as upwards management of tasks

**Desirable**
- Previous experience in a Legal Cashiering role
- Experience in telegraphic transfers
