Hours of work for Trainee Production Planner
Monday to Thursday 0715-1545
Friday 0715-1245
Rate of Pay £9.90-£10.50 depending on experience
As a Production Planner, you will need to ensure all metal is booked in and checked for correct alloy, location and weight then assigned to the correct location. Accuracy is imperative due to the material we deal with. You will report to a team leader and build your experience in the management of metal processes.
The main responsibilities of Production Planner
Accurately check weigh and book in material
Assign metal to production
Process scrap and assign to correct locations
Deal with enquiries from sales
Liaise with other areas on metal issues
Maintain stock control
Participate in stocktake
Machine of cast bars (milling)
Drilling bars for assay sampling
Essential skills / experience
Experience of production / engineering environment
The ability to follow specific processes and procedures accurately
Flexible and conscientious with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Excel and word competent
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Physically fit as some heavy lifting required
Excellent eye for detail
