York, United Kingdom Pocklington School Foundation Full time

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Sports Assistant (with a preferred specialism in Hockey) to work with us for a 6 month residential placement (6th January to 3rd July 2026) which will include being part of our boarding community.

You will have recently graduated and be enthusiastic, well-organised and committed to enhancing sports participation throughout our community. You will work with competitive teams at all levels therefore previous high-level playing or coaching experience (preferably in Hockey, however Netball and Cricket are also desirable) would be advantageous, along with experience of strength and conditioning or similar sport science programmes.

As well as assisting with the delivery of high-quality PE and Games, you will also support team fixtures and contribute to our full co-curricular Sports programme. You will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience in sports coaching and pastoral responsibilities which will be of particular benefit to anyone interested in pursuing a teaching or coaching career.

The post is residential and provides the opportunity to gain valuable pastoral experience by becoming part of our boarding community.
