We currently have the opportunity for a supply chain coordinator to join our brilliant client based in Crewe. The role will see you working alongside the purchasing team, and coordinating the aquisition of goods.

The role will see you maintaining purchase orders and supporting the buyer in price amendment paperwork, and consulting with the quality department to ensure orders placed are to the correct specification.

If you have experience within fast moving goods or pharmaceuticals, and experience dealing with external vendors, then this could be the perfect role for you

**Job Purpose**:
As Vendor Scheduler you will be responsible for MRP, coordinating the acquisition, delivery and stock holding of Raw Materials, Packaging and Intermediates, to minimise supply risk and optimise inventory holding costs.

Administration of Purchase Orders & SAGE200 data is central to the role, in line with the Purchasing Calendar and governance provided by the Purchasing Manager. The Vendor Scheduler will take responsibility for creation and transmission of orders, with defined daily/weekly/monthly tasks to ensure compliance and visibility of all exceptions.

**Key Role Responsibilities**

**Material Requirement Planning**
- Purchase Order Maintenance (Vendors, Suppliers, Service Providers):

- Requesting order acknowledgement
- Verify order acknowledgement against Purchase Order to validate correct pricing, product(s), quantities and promise dates
- Escalating discrepancies to relevant Buyer/Planner
- Filing purchase orders and acknowledgements in accordance with SOP
- Maintain up to date Supplier Price Book, updating costs / price breaks when necessary
- Supporting the Buyer in the generation of Price Amendment paperwork
- Responsible for the ordering, supply to Site and stock management of MTP free issued packaging (cartons/labels/pouches/foil) to support monthly plans
- Consult with Quality department to ensure that all orders placed are to the correct specification
- Support Change Activity for all new and revised artwork changes
- Vendor Scheduling- Create and maintain weekly/monthly Vendor Schedules
- Communicate exceptions
- Leverage EOQ and Transport efficiencies
- Minimise obsolescence risk
- Administrate new item introduction and retirement in MRP
- Manage the efficient flow of materials from Vendors & MTP Managed 3PL locations to MTP Contractors in accordance with the product schedules to maximise run time and minimise downtime
- Proactively collaborating with Vendors and internal stakeholders to mitigate any potential material shortages

Vendor Relationship Management

- Manage the outstanding Purchase Order Book for Vendors/Suppliers of designated Raw Materials, Packaging and components through regular progressing and updates to ensure timely receipt of goods and specified documentation.
- Update Purchase Order status, as appropriate
- Maintain and report Vendor / Supplier performance on a weekly & monthly basis
- Consult with Supply team to communicate material availability / lateness with impact on open Order Book / Customers required delivery dates.
- Consult with Quality Department to arrange required QC inspections
- Collaborate with Logistics colleague to effect timely & cost-efficient movement of materials into suppliers, satisfying net demand schedules provided weekly by converting/packing partners
- ** Maintain supplier system data - MOQ's / Lead Time / Price**
- Arrange and conduct periodic reviews with strategic Vendors / Service Providers
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required, including work cover for members of the Supply Chain function
