**The Role**:
We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced individual to undertake the role of Operations Supervisor in our Hamble depot. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the purpose of this role is to undertake supervisory duties in the depot and whilst deployed on customer’s site; the postholder will hold responsibility for leading Company employees whilst on site and in the depot to ensure all tasks are complete in a safe and compliant manner and to promote the success of the division and Company. The postholder is required to operate any Company vehicle for which they are suitably qualified to undertake. In addition, the postholder will undertake duties associated with that of all Operations.

The postholder is contracted to work a 40-hour week, basic hours being 8am until 5pm (flexible start and finish times) Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch. In addition, there is a requirement to be available to satisfy overtime requirements plus participation in a Standby/call out rota. The post holder may be required to work away from home and stay away if needed. Due to the leadership nature of this post, the postholder is expected to dedicate sufficient time to ensure all tasks are complete to the satisfaction of customers and Adler & Allan management.

Key tasks and accountabilities associated with the post are as follows:

- To manage and lead employees on site and in the depot to ensure all tasks, including related documentation is completed correctly, compliantly and in a timely manner.
- To manage health and safety as per method statements and risk assessments; any breach of RAMS procedure and documentation will be the postholders responsibility and the postholder will be required to report any breach immediately to the H&S and Group HR Managers, providing a full and concise report.
- Job progress reporting to line manager and operation manager
- Make sure all correct equipment is in suitable condition and on vehicles as required in order to carry out all duty effectively to completion. Hire additional equipment as required to complete a job. Ensure Plant and Equipment is clean and operational post job,
- Identify and arrange repair of defective plant and equipment.
- Operating Company vehicles for which the postholder is suitably qualified to operate.
- Responsibility for ensuring all vehicle checks are undertaken prior to commencing any works.
- Reporting any vehicle defects to supervision as soon as identified.
- Ensure all uplifting and offloading of product and materials is undertaken in the correct and compliant manner with high regard for health and safety and correct working practices.
- Responsibility for ensuring the security of all Company vehicles and equipment.
- Works to be carried out in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation.
- Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
- Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to operations manager
- Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements or possible opportunities.
- To allocate jobs and select appropriately trained staff to complete works to a safe and required standard. Additionally, to ensure all paperwork and documentation, including job packs, are ready for the following working day for all field staff.
- Using the paper/computer systems to collate and report business information as required.
- General management of all the office administration duties required for the proficient running of the depot and ensuring the efficient and professional standards of the office and depot. This includes ensuring the depot is kept clean, maintained, any waste stored correctly & compliantly and that all work takes place safely in accordance with Health and Safety policies & procedures

Due to the leadership nature of this role, the postholder is required to promote safe and compliant practice and report any acts, omissions or breaches immediately to supervision and H&S and Group HR Manager.
