**Responsible to: Trust Catering Manager**

**Hours: 30 hours per week term time plus 8 days**

**Purpose of the role**

To assist in the provision of a high quality catering service

**Main duties**
- Production of high volume meals working with centrally developed standardised menus
- Preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes, working under tight time pressures
- To maintain a clean, professional kitchen
- Use of specialist kitchen equipment
- Awareness of dietary requirements, allergens and portion sizes
- Process day end procedures
- Maintain efficient stock levels and assist with the ordering process
- Provide a high quality, efficient and polite service to pupils and staff
- Ensure that Health and Hygiene Regulations and HACCP are adhered to
- Be aware of and ensure food adheres to the School Food Standards 2014
- Work as part of a team under the direction of senior staff

**General Responsibilities**
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, training and briefings as appropriate
- Be aware of, and comply with all Academy policies and procedures, in particular those relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection
- Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the Academy and the Trust.

In accordance with health and safety regulations, the postholder must wear appropriate protective clothing, including rubber gloves, as requested.

Postholders are required to undertake training in, but not limited to, Food Hygiene, Allergen Awareness, Nutrition, COSHH and manual handling.

Leodis is a Multi-Academy Trust comprising of four founding members East Ardsley Primary, Hill Top Primary, Westerton Primary and Woodkirk Academy and one additional academy Blackgates Primary. The post holder will primarily be based at one Academy but will work across multiple sites in the Trust.

Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: £13,467.00 per year
