This role exists to assist the Garment Technologists and Designers during the development of our luxury garments. The role ensures the construction and fitting of each garment and creates workbooks to communicate with factories ensuring quality and construction expectations are clear.**Fit Model**

**Responsible for**:

- Fit modelling to support Design, Garment Technologists and Pattern Cutters
- Enable our Fit Technicians to take measures and produce corrections
- Share your opinion of the clothing
- Display tops, bottoms or a combination
- Try clothing under the direction of the Product Development teams to achieve Nadine Merabi’s fit standards
- Provide feedback about the style, fit, and comfort of the garment as requested
- Clearly communicate fit issues
- Pinpoint potential customer concerns about quality and fit
- Work with designers, technologists and product developers in Fit Sessions by trying on product in all stages of production

**Accountable for**:

- Active involvement in fit sessions and advising amendments required.
- Communicate fit information with detail and accuracy - communicating the fit, feel and comfort to achieve best samples and production.
- Working with the product and design team to ensure consistent sizing across our product range.

**Garment Technologist**

**Responsible for**:

- Request samples from suppliers and assist in the organisation of fabric and trims.
- Communicating with factories and suppliers to create samples overseas.
- Working with Sample Machinists and Seamstresses to create samples in-house when required.
- Work with the Pattern Cutters and Sealer Graders to create garment samples across the size range from pattern.

**Accountable for**:

- Ensuring suppliers are clear on the patterns to follow for bulk and production is as per the sealed standard.
- Investigate fit and construction issues found by QC and suggest solutions to rectify.

**Essential Skills & Experience**
- Staying within tolerance to the measurements of a size S on the Merabi size guide **(Bust - 86cm, Waist - 69cm and Hip - 94cm)**.
- Ability to communicate using technical langue to descript fit, feel and comfort.
- Able to meet critical path dates and work to deadlines.
- Experience in creating make packs and workbooks that clearly outline construction methods to our supply base.
- Experience fit modelling for a fashion brand
- Experienced in measuring garments against garment specifications and/or patterns
- Understanding of garment grading
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Previous experience working in Garment Technologist role
- Technical knowledge and experience of garment construction and fit
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organised
- Great attention to detail

**Preferred Skills & Experience**:

- Experience working with designer, luxury or bridal brands would be an advantage
- Experience in garment making and alterations would be an advantage
- Able to think outside the box and provide creative solutions
- Passionate about the work and the role
- Naturally confident with strong communication skills
- Friendly and positive attitude
- Able to work independently but enjoy working as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working and happy to help attitude
- Confident, assertive, and proactive, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with people at all levels
- You will be determined to go the extra mile to achieve results

**Available on Tuesdays and Thursdays**

**Salary 24,000 -32,000 depends on experience
