**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Attendance Monitoring**:
- Utilize the school's management system (SIMS or Bromcom) to monitor daily attendance records.
- Investigate and address any inconsistencies or discrepancies in attendance data.
- Generate reports to analyze attendance trends and patterns.
- **Communication**:
- Establish effective communication channels with parents, guardians, and relevant stakeholders to address attendance concerns.
- Work closely with teaching staff to identify and address potential attendance issues promptly.
- Implement communication strategies to encourage and promote regular attendance.
- **Intervention and Support**:
- Identify students with persistent attendance issues and collaborate with the pastoral team to implement targeted intervention strategies.
- Liaise with external agencies and support services to provide additional assistance to students facing attendance challenges.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of intervention measures.
- **Data Management**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records in accordance with school policies.
- Ensure that all attendance-related data is entered into the school management system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Generate and submit attendance reports to relevant authorities as required
**Policy Compliance**:
- Stay abreast of relevant legislation and regulations related to school attendance.
- Ensure compliance with school attendance policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and updating of attendance-related policies.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Proven experience as an Attendance Officer or in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Familiarity and proficiency with school management systems, preferably SIMS or Bromcom.
- A valid DBS clearance is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to school attendance.
