Chief Engineer - eVTOL Programme

€80,000 - €120,000+ (DOE), plus Bonus, plus Package
Hybrid Working - 2/3 days on site
Would you like to drive the decarbonisation of air travel through the development of an innovative eVTOL Aircraft? Do you have a background in aircraft development and architecture or electrical systems for aircraft? The Role
- Driving the development of various aircraft systems to be integrated into a novel airframe
- Managing a large team of multi-disciplinary engineers as they design a state-of-the-art battery powered aircraft; translating the architecture into a detailed design
- Acting as a key signatory for the safety, quality and certification of the aircraft in line with global aerospace standards (EASA, FAA, CAA), ensuring that the aircraft progresses towards full certification
- Chair design reviews with both internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting ground and flight tests of the aircraft
- Engaging with the industry to develop an eco-system of supply chain and stakeholders to bring Urban Air Mobility to life
- Developing an engineering resource and skills development plan to ensure that the programme is supported with the necessary talent to hit major milestones
- Immersing yourself in a growing start-up environment; contributing to as many areas of the business as you can add value to help achieve the goal of revolutionising air travel
Your Background
- Educated to Masters or PhD level in a relevant field of Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Thermal Engineering etc
- More than 10+ years experience in aircraft development
- Demonstrable experience working with/exploring electrical propulsion or eVTOL aircraft
- Able to provide examples of the development of multiple aircraft from pre-design to certification
- Advanced knowledge of various aviation standards from EASA, CAA and FAA
- Passionate about the development of sustainable technologies that will transform the way we travel
- Confident in your ability to problem solve and able to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Naturally curious and able to think laterally about the significant technical challenges presented by working with novel aircraft architectures and electrical propulsion
In return, you will receive a competitive base salary from €80,000 to €120,000+ plus an extensive benefits package which includes bonus, share schemes, relocation support and flexible working.
