Payroll Specialist - Salary £27,000 to £31,000

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Aviva for a Payroll Specialist to join their People Function. You will lead a team of Payroll Advisors, whilst being responsible for the oversight of the end-to-end monthly payroll activities.

A bit about the job:
In this role, you would be leading a small team of Payroll Advisors through coaching / training / development conversations and establishing and maintaining good communications with all areas of the business and its employees ensuring service levels are maintained and an excellent service is always provided. This role will also be responsible for Quality checking of work, processing and reconciling all end-to-end payroll tasks, uploading all HMRC data, that are required for each monthly payroll, as well as fully investigate ALL queries on behalf of employees and respond within service levels and react to incident resolution. Overall, this position will be working in conjunction with the Payroll Ops Lead to oversee the effective provision of all payroll processes, deputising in their absence, whilst ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

- Expert knowledge in end-to-end payroll, including legislations/GDPR regulations and HMRC data. Pension/Shares administration experience would be an advantage.
- Experience of supervising / leading a team.
- Familiar with processing monthly and quarterly payroll requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- CIPP qualification is essential, or working towards equivalent qualifications/apprenticeships.
