Job Overview: Long distance van driver and collector

We are seeking to employ a physically fit, experienced and careful driver with a max of 3 points on their licence who enjoys long distance driving; who is responsible, reliable, trustworthy and extremely motivated as this position requires very early starts, late finishes and long days. There will be regular visits to RAF and ARMY units throughout the UK. A DBS check will be required.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Collecting, bagging and loading from our clothing banks located across the country and delivering to customers. Other duties will include accurate daily recording of all necessary paperwork and ensuring vehicle is looked after.

REQUIREMENTS: Full UK Driving Licence - Max 3 penalty points. Experienced and fit careful Driver with excellent driving skills, casual but well-presented appearance. Able to work alone and use own initiative. Reliable, responsible, trustworthy, good communication and numeracy skills and physically fit as this is a very physical role. Excellent time keeping and record-keeping.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a van to transport goods and materials
- Load cargo
- Plan routes to meet delivery schedules
- Perform basic mechanical checks on the vehicle
- Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance of the van

SALARY: £11.45 per hour

Monday - Friday no weekends.

IMMEDIATE START: Approximately three months training.

PROBATIONARY PERIOD: 6 months

Pay: £11.45 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 55 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus
