**JOB VACANCY - Conferencing and Events Supervisor**

The primary role of the Conferencing and Events Supervisor is to ensure the smooth running of operations to all our events within the hotel. We hold conferences, functions, weddings and afternoon tea events. **Organisation and planning is key** to be successful in this role.

As Conference and Events Supervisor you will have the opportunity to be actively involved in leading and influencing the day to day running of the Conference and Events within The Lake House, you will also join our team of dedicated duty managers to ensure smooth operations of the hotel. You will have the exciting role of making sure every customer has a memorable experience and leaves with special memories.

Your responsibilities include;
- Attending weekly function sheet meetings to ensure you have all the details required to run each event.
- Liaising with the Events Sales and Marketing Manager
- Setting up conference rooms and events
- Operationally running the events and leading a team to meet customer service standards
- Serving food and beverages to guests
- Stock control and ordering
- Assist with the training and development of team members
- Looking after the Bride and Groom on their wedding day and ensuring that their wedding has been executed to a high standard

What we are looking for:

- Long term commitment
- Has a good understanding of conferencing, function and wedding services.
- At least 1 year experience in this role
- Excellent organisation skills
- Passion for exemplary service and high standards
- Works well under pressure
- Passion for the event industry
- Great eye for detail
- Works well with our team
