Welding & Materials Technician

We are delighted to assist our valued client with their recruitment for experienced MAG/TIG/MIG welders for a long standing Engineering firm based in North Coventry.
These roles are imperative to the business in supporting the Welding and Materials department manager in maintaining the complete weld Quality Management Systems. Monitoring and supporting production welding operation including new product welding operationsincluding new product introduction and performing welding and laboratory testing.
To support the department Manager, acting as a deputy welding coordinator, responsible for welding inspections, testing and maintaining the companies weld manufacturing controls and welding quality management systems, including personnel training, process qualificationand introduction of new products and welding specifications from concept to delivery throughout the group.
Perform welds, materials and coatings testing and report assessments.
Essential:
- Strong written and verbal communication ability and effective interpersonal skills.
Able to generate technical reports and produce necessary documentation for internal departments, customers, and external notified bodies produced in English language.
Ability to work independently and organise project teams, including contractors, and liaise between management, production, inspection personnel and international clients.
Ability to interpreting engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerances and awareness of symbolic representation of welds to ISO 2553.
Competent using Microsoft office suite of software.
